On Dec. 30th Mike Lowell underwent surgery on his right thumb to repair his torn radial collateral ligament. According to reports Lowell should be ready near the end of February, just in time for spring training. The Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Fort Myers Feb. 18th along with injured players. The first full team practice is scheduled for Feb. 24th. I hope Lowell has a great year with the Sox so he can show Theo and the rest of the front office that he is still a great player and asset to the team with his defense and bat.
